Do you like to hike or kayak?  Miles and miles of trails are yours to explore for a park pass at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.  Lake Michigan, inland waterways and lakes present different boating opportunities. 

Are you looking for family friendly activities?  The Dune Climb at the Sleeping Bear Dunes is a favorite or there are many beaches to build sand castles.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore
Explore the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

When was the last time you had sand in your toes?  Try the Dune Climb and be rewarded with spectacular views of coastline.  Near the climb, the scenic drive gives auto access to  accessible overlooks and picnic facilities.

Miles of trails and park maintained sandy beaches are within an easy drive.  (A park pass is required for access - passes may be purchased at several sites throughout the park.)

On the Water

Kayaking, canoeing, tubing on the Crystal River or the Platte, motor boating on Lake Michigan or several inland lakes with public access sites - bring your own or rentals are available in the area.  

Fly, rod and reel or Lake Michigan charters for vacationing fishermen/women.

Pristine sandy beaches and cooling Lake Michigan waters await or try the warmer inland lakes for a summer swim.
